Chettinad fish fry is prepared by freshly grinded spice such as cumin seeds, coriander seeds , pepper seeds, fennel seeds . usually chettinad dishes will be spicy. The freshly grounded masala items will give unique taste to this chettinad fish fry.

Ingredients for fish fry
Fish pieces - 6 nos
Small shallots - 6
Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 tbsp

Instruction for Fish fry
- Wash the fish pieces with salt and turmeric powder.
- Squeeze lemon juices into fish and keep aside.
- In a pan, dry roast spices listed under chettinad fish fry masala and grind it.
- In a mixie, add small shallots, ginger garlic and make paste .
- Mix ginger garlic paste and chettinad fish fry masala and apply on fish pieces.
- Allow to marinate fish pieces for 1 hour and shallow fry. To make crispy fish fry add 2 tbsp of rice flour to the masala items.
